Ceramic car tintHeat, without the metal
Ceramic car tint is the film Houston drivers pick when the cabin has to stay cooler and the night view has to stay clear.

What ceramic film is
Ceramic window film uses ceramic particles, not a dyed plastic and not a metal layer. Nano-ceramic is a finer version of that same idea. Both are sold for infrared heat and UV, and both are non-metallic, so they are the usual choice when radio, GPS, and phone signal matter.
A box that says ceramic does not name a single product. Series differ. This site does not claim a 3M dealership or any other brand badge. The quote names the film you would actually get.
Cars it fits
Any passenger vehicle whose owner wants heat rejection: sedans, coupes, trucks, and Teslas. The Tesla page covers glass roofs. The truck page covers the larger rear glass. The film itself is the same category.
How it differs from carbon and dye
Compared with standard dyed film, ceramic rejects more heat and holds its color. Compared with carbon, it usually costs more and rejects more infrared. The comparison guide lines the three up. Ceramic film is non-metallic and is chosen mainly for heat.
Windshield ceramic
Clear, untinted UV film may cover a Texas windshield. A ceramic product that is visibly shaded may not sit in the driver’s view. Visibly tinted film on a windshield, if it is used at all, stays above the AS-1 line, has to meter at 25% VLT or higher with the glass, stay at 25% reflectance or less, and cannot be red, blue, or amber. We will not install a dark windshield below that line.
Installation and cost
Install is the same wet-application process as other films. Ceramic often takes the same time as carbon on the same car. Price moves with the series, the glass count, and whether old film comes off first. The pricing page explains those factors. The number itself is the quote.
Care
Cure time still applies. Ceramic is not immune to a lifted edge if a window is rolled down early or an ammonia cleaner sits on the film. It simply does not fade the way dye does.

Questions
Often, yes. Ceramic can look clearer from the inside at a similar VLT because it is built to pass visible light and block infrared. The meter still reads visible light, not heat.
No film drops the cabin to a promised temperature. Ceramic is the strongest heat option of the three films on this site.
No. High-reflectance mirror film is not on the menu. Texas also caps front-window reflectance at 25%.
